Indiana HabiCorps
Indiana HabiCorpsis the AmeriCorps State program run through Habitat for Humanity of Indiana. Members serve at Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout Indiana but are connected through state-wide training and events. Members serve at a Habitat affiliate full time or part time for a term of service. Most positions are full time for the year from September to August of the following year. We have traditional members who serve in construction, family services, volunteer coordination, and/or capacity building. We also have the ATeam which is a group of 5 HabiCorps members who serve part of their term at the base affiliate (Indianapolis) learning leadership, construction, and volunteer coordination skills. In the second half of their term, they travel for 1-2 weeks at a time to other Habitat filliates throughout the state to complete service projects.
