| Member Duties : Conduct community outreach to youth in the community and community organizations in South King County. Engage with youth to help them determine which program may be right for them. Refer youth to appropriate re-engagement programs and/or workforce development programs. Ensure youth are connected to the program of their choice. AmeriCorps members will follow-up with youth and staff on the referral and provide career awareness and job search materials to youth. Members will help youth understand post-secondary training options, and how to access them. Members will identify ways in which WDC career awareness tools and strategies can be improved for youth. Coordinate with Youth Business Services Team as appropriate. Support career fairs/hiring events and track number of youth contacts, youth referrals and outcomes of referrals.
