Spokane County United Way Community Engagement VISTA

VISTA will work with a small but dynamic team that is focused on improving educational outcomes from cradle to career for youth experiencing opportunity gaps (low income, youth of color, special needs, and/or English language learners). This team has built strong relationships with local early learning providers, school districts, libraries and community-based organizations -- who are planning together and aligning activities to support student achievement. The VISTA will help build the capacity of our Ready for Kindergarten Network and Reading at Grade Level Network, with a focus on improving community supports for parents, improving access to information for parents, and building community awareness of ways to support youth success.
