Trenton Prevention Policy Board

About Trenton Prevention Policy Board Trenton Prevention Policy Board’s (TPPB) is one of four planning boards supported by the NJ Office of the Attorney General. The TPPB focuses on increasing school attendance, in addition to reducing youth crime rates by providing better leverage of existing resources to stabilize families and reduce risk factors impacting community safety. These efforts should include increasing protective factors (FCIU, CIACC, WIB/WDF, YSC, trauma informed care/communities) and decreasing risk factors (poverty, substance abuse, mental health/behavioral health, unstable housing). TPPB also touches on prisoner re-entry within Mercer County. TPPB, is comprised of local government agencies, law enforcement, The College of NJ (TCNJ), public schools, educators, faith-based and community based organizations, nonprofits, and residents who work together to promote positive youth development and curb juvenile delinquency. This is a New Jersey Campus Compact Statewide Collective Impact AmeriCorps VISTA Project. With our college and university partners, New Jersey Campus Compact is building a cohort of AmeriCorps VISTA members to support the anti-poverty work of 14 large-scale, cross-sector organizations focused on increasing education, economic opportunity, and healthy futures in NJ’s underserved urban areas. We seek a qualified, civic-minded individual to be the AmeriCorps VISTA serving at Trenton Prevention Policy Board.
