United Way NW Lower Michigan Regional VISTA Project
 
 
 
The NW Lower Michigan Regional VISTA Project is hiring nine VISTAs to serve with a variety of non-profits host sites in our region within the focus areas of education, economic opportunity, and environmental health. VISTA’s will provide capacity building, sustainability, and programmatic support to one of these organizations each. These position are located in beautiful northwest lower Michigan, and the project is based out of Traverse City. Apply early! Ideal candidates for the VISTA project are interviewed and accepted on a rolling basis. Some of the non-profit host site organizations for this hiring round include Inland Seas Education Association (www.schoolship.org), the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District’s Farm to School Program (http://www.mlui.org/food-farming/projects/farm-to-school), the Michigan Land Use Institute’s Food and Farming Network (http://www.foodandfarmingnetwork.org), Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing (http://nmshousing.org), and the Grand Traverse Conservation District (http://natureiscalling.org), among others.
