Ticket to Read Program Coordinator VISTA

The Ticket to Read program helps adults and older teens increase their reading and writing skills through direct instruction, small group tutoring, and computer software programs. Classes have up to twelve students and are taught by a paid instructor with the support of multiple voluntary tutors per class. Students work on reaching their goals through literacy. Our program takes place in a multitude of partner locations throughout the Kansas City metro. We believe that community collaboration is the best way to see a dramatic improvement on literacy levels in Kansas City.
