Community Art Collaborative

Created in 2004, CAC is the only program of its kind in Maryland that links artists, communities, and institutions of higher education. Housed in the Office of Community Engagement at MICA, this program places community artists in year-long residencies with nonprofits, schools, and community centers in Baltimore City. AmeriCorps members will work with Baltimore based organizations to design and implement high quality arts-based activities for children and youth. Members will design or expand the range of after school program offerings, community projects, and service learning opportunities. CAC members will also assist in increasing volunteer opportunities and resources.
