'18-19 Pacific County Resiliency Corps Team Member
Through the placement of members in various youth-serving organizations in Pacific County we will reduce adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and increase resiliency of our community’s youth. Our host sites and their members will work towards this goal by utilizing multiple strategies; such as presenting healthy activities, educational opportunities, strong interventions, parenting education, financial literacy, family engagement, youth mentoring, tutoring, career exploration, & helping connect our community to resources. Our host sites include: Crisis Support Network, Coastal Community Action Program, Peninsula Poverty Response, First Lutheran Church, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club of the Long Beach Peninsula, Grays Harbor Community College, Peninsula Active Learners, Dispute Resolution Center, and local K-12 schools. Ultimately, the collaborative efforts of the community and its agencies and the leveraging of our resources will lead to a reduction in future mental health & physical issues, incarceration, and substance abuse rates in our connected community. If you are interested in serving in a warm, welcoming community while helping to create and support healthy, capable youth then please apply. These placements are 10.5 month terms of service & are contingent on funding. You may find more information & links to our host sites on www.pacificcountyyouth.or
