NYCC - Cornell Cooperative Extension/Food Security Project

As part of the larger Rust-2-Green community revitalization program, the Food Security Project VISTA will identify and map community food and nutrition resources, develop a program to expand access to healthy food choices, and assess the feasibility of establishing a community gardens program. The goal is to provide enhanced resources to improve access and raise awareness to demonstrate the value of healthy food choices – by working with the Eat Smart NY and Mid-York Childcare program to result in behavioral changes that will improve the health of the most vulnerable.
