Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group Capacity VISTA
 
 
 
Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group (PCRG) is a coalition of leaders working for economic justice and equitable resources to revitalize the Pittsburgh region. This project supports our Reimagining Communities Initiative (RCI), created to leverage PCRG’s longstanding leadership role in advocating for equitable public policy, community access to resources, and strategic organizational partnerships to build neighborhood development capacity driven by meaningful community inclusion. Work performed will positively impact the Beltzhoover, Elliott, Hazelwood, Sharpsburg, Bloomfield, and Sheraden communities and create standards of practice to be employed within RCI programming. Successful applicants will possess excellent research and communication skills, the ability to work closely with economically and racially diverse individuals and organizations, and an eagerness to empower residents to have a direct and meaningful role in the revitalization of their community. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and basic graphic design is highly desirable. Prior experience with fundraising a plus.

Member Duties : The PCRG Capacity VISTA will work closely with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to perform the following activities: (1) Create leadership development tracking standards, (2) Create grassroots fundraising strategies, (3) Create standards for grassroots project development and implementation, (4) Train CBOs to implement best practices and standards, and (5) Recommend and help establish strategic partnerships for CBOs
