Cornerstone Advocacy Services (Emerge)
 
 
 
This position is part of the Emerge VISTA program and will be serving at Cornerstone Advocacy Service in Bloomington MN. Cornerstone Advocacy Service is a comprehensive and growing victim services provider offering programming and assistance to persons who have or are experiencing domestic violence, sexual violence or human trafficking. We offer a continuum of services including criminal/civil justice intervention advocacy, emergency shelter, transitional housing, support services, therapy, school based violence prevention programming and we are also the statewide emergency shelter and crisis line, known as Day One. You will be working in the Community Services Program which provides civil justice intervention services, support groups, individual counseling and transitional housing services. We are seeking to enhance this programming, creating a focus on financial literacy and job readiness to provide the tools to people who desire to progress towards self-sufficiency, personal empowerment and living a life free of violence and abuse The target population for this project is low income women who have been impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking, a large proportion of whom are current or former offenders.
