Member Duties : - Support harvest activities, cooler rotation, and produce distribution
- Partner with Gleaning Coordinator to facilitate gleaning events
- Recruit gleaning volunteers and conduct program outreach
In addition, the Summer Associate Candidate should have:
-Interest in and ability to work with people from a variety of racial, cultural and economic backgrounds, with various lifestyles, sexual orientations, and ages.
-Knowledge and/or experience with the nonprofit community.
-Background working with civic and/or volunteer organizations.
-Highly organized and self-directed,
-Ability to work in an office as well as an outdoor environment, including working in hot or cold conditions.
-Comfort with web-based social networking technology.
-Experience with gardening and agriculture.
-Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
