Harvest Against Hunger Summer Associate VOAWW

VOAWW has a robust gleaning program, Project Harvest, which gleans from both farms and farmer’s markets and supports healthy choices for Snohomish County residents living poverty. The project connects local growers, food banks, and volunteers in order to increase access to fresh, local produce for food insecure families. Rotary First Harvest, through its project Harvest Against Hunger, places AmeriCorps VISTA and VISTA Summer Associates with host sites around Washington to build and strengthen sustainable produce recovery projects so that hungry populations have increased access to fresh, nutritious produce.
