CPRI Outreach Coordinator (Fort Worth)

The Health and Human Service Commission of Texas, Texas Impact, and the Texas Hunger Initiative are looking for candidates who are interested in leading a project helping Texans living in poverty across the state to have access to social service programs. AmeriCorps VISTA Sponsor organization Texas Impact is spearheading this VISTA project across the state. Texas Impact is the largest statewide social justice interfaith network of faith communities in Texas, working to improve the lives of Texans for 40 years. Texas Impact is a supporting organization to the Texas Interfaith Center for Public Policy. Texas Impact, Baylor University’s Texas Hunger Initiative and the Texas Association of Community Health Centers, have partnered with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to promote Texas’ Community Partner Program: an innovative program empowering local faith and community organizations to provide information and enrollment assistance for state social services to eligible Texans. As part of this effort, CPRI AmeriCorps VISTAs recruit, support, and train faith communities of all different religious traditions and nonprofit organizations to become effective “Community Partners,” enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of local communities and the state to assist people in poverty.
