CPRI Outreach Coordinator (Dallas)

Over a million Texans don’t receive the life-saving state benefits they are eligible to receive. To help reach those in need, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) created the Community Partner Program. This statewide network of faith-based and non-profit organizations provides additional access points to the HHSC benefits website. As an Outreach Coordinator with Texas Impact, you will help support and sustain this network through regular contact with Community Partners in your area. The support you provide will help promote services, facilitate communication, train volunteers, and troubleshoot issues. The approximately fifteen Outreach Coordinators in our project also regularly network with each other through conference calls and in-person meetings to share successful strategies and address common concerns. Outreach Coordinators are hosted in cities across Texas in the offices of Baylor University’s Texas Hunger Initiative, one of Texas Impact’s partners with HHSC in this effort. Texas Impact is the largest statewide social justice interfaith network of faith communities in Texas, working to improve the lives of Texans for 40 years. Texas Impact is a supporting organization to the Texas Interfaith Center for Public Policy. This is a 12 month, full-time opportunity as a member of the AmeriCorps*VISTA program serving with Texas Impact. The Texas Impact Outreach Coordinator should anticipate some Saturday and Sunday hours.
