Jobs of Hope

Jobs of Hope is a non-profit that serves at risk youth, primarily men age 16-24, who have an arrest record, dropped out of high school, or are former gang members who want to make a change in their lives. Through our training curriculum youth learn the necessary skills and gain access to resources in order to properly attain a job at one of our partner agencies. The curriculum focuses on job skills from interviewing to the importance of organization and professionalism at the work place. Upon job placement the client is matched with a volunteer mentor in order to build a healthy relationship where the client can share the struggles of their daily life. The mentor can then help them through their journey to independence and security. Jobs of Hope seeks long term change by assisting clients in obtaining identification cards, driver’s license, birth certificate, housing, and other resources after their job placement in order for them to become fully independent members of the community.
