The Sanneh Foundation (Marketing) - St. Paul VISTA Program

The Sanneh Foundation (TSF) is a Minnesota based 501(c)3 created to serve the holistic youth development needs of Twin Cities youth. Since TSF’s inception in 2003 it has designed and implemented six positive youth development programs aimed at promoting academic achievement and social emotional development for under-resourced and under-served youth. The goal of TSF’s programs are to empower youth by providing leadership-skill development and social emotional mentoring, improve lives by supporting and promoting educational attainment through in-school and after-school programming, and unite communities by advancing diversity, cross-cultural competency, and community service. Our programs range from collecting gently used soccer and athletic gear which we redistribute both locally and internationally (“Kick It Back”), free college advising for high school student athletes (“College Prep 101”), free summer soccer camps for youth in both Minneapolis and Saint Paul, an international project which encompasses all of our programs by offering children in Port au Prince’s Cite Soleil the chance to play soccer and receive a meal everyday provided they meet school attendance requirements, and our signature program, (“Dreamline”) providing academically and socially struggling students with full-day in-school support by a team of coaches who intentionally partner with students to provide social emotional mentoring and academic support. **This VISTA position is sponsored by the Saint Paul VISTA Program. Hosted in Mayor Chris Coleman's Office, the Saint Paul VISTA Program is comprised of a city-wide cohort of individuals -- placed at community organizations and schools -- dedicated to shaping the educational landscape for youth and families in Saint Paul.**
