United Way of Weld County - Collective Impact

A poverty alleviation-focused organization, the mission of United Way of Weld County (UWWC) is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. It catalyzes individuals and institutions to create the best life possible for Weld County and her citizens. Working with UWWC, this Collective Impact VISTA will 1) assist United Way and other nonprofits in community-wide strategic planning and 2) facilitate the work of the Weld County Homeless Coalition, including participation in the leadership of the North Front Range Continuum of Care, a regional homelessness address and prevention structure. On 1), the Thriving Weld County Community Dashboard is an inter-agency planning and performance management tool that allows a community to plan and organize for the achievement of and track community-wide, measurable goals. The first of its kind utilized for county-wide purposes in Colorado, UWWC is responsible for the planning and populating of the Education and Livelihood sections of the dashboard. On 2), Weld County Homeless Coalition activity includes helping the community strategically plan to address the root causes of homelessness, to create/refine assistance structures for persons who are presently homeless, and to help the county move to a Housing First strategy.
