YMCA Marketing and Events Coordinator
 
 
 
YMCA of Northern Utah’s mission is to provide communities with programs that build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The Y’s inclusiveness extends “to all” in which the YMCA strives to provide value to and serve everyone in the community despite socio-economic status, race, religion, age gender and abilities. The YMCA takes pride in providing financial assistance for fee-based programs. This ensures that ALL children and families have access to a safe environment with high quality, enriching programs. The proposed VISTA project aligns with the Education Focus Area. The VISTA project will focus on two Education Objectives (1) school readiness and (2) K-12 success and expects to benefit at least 3,200 low-income youth and families. YMCA is seeking to engage four AmeriCorp VISTAs in building our agency's organizational capacity to deliver programs and services that help bring individuals and communities out of poverty.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will help complete a public relations plan, develop/update existing marketing materials, and identify marketing strategies to recruit services beneficiaries. We are looking for two positions - one will be based in Salt Lake and the second will be based in Ogden.
