Habitat for Humanity—Rochester, MN (Summer Associate)
 
 
 
In response to the critical need for affordable housing in the Rochester, MN area, Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity (RAHFH) was established in 1990. RAHFH is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide the opportunity of home ownership for low-income working families. Funding comes primarily from local individuals, churches, and business contributions, and through the United Way. To date, RAHFH has built or rehabbed over 70 homes and is planning to complete an additional 3 homes this summer!

Member Duties : As a Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to help build Habitat for Humanity homes. The homes you will be building will be some of the most energy efficient, healthy homes currently being built in Minnesota. This 8 week position will provide you with hands-on construction experience working side by side with Habitat staff, volunteers, and partner families. During your 8 week service commitment, you will learn construction skills and will help to supervise, coordinate, train, and ensure the safety of volunteers on new home construction sites. You will gain functional knowledge of key elements in energy efficient and affordable housing.
