AmeriCorps Partnership to End Homelessness

On any given night, over 1,100 people will be living on our streets or in shelters in Guilford County. The Partnership to End Homelessness is a State AmeriCorps Program dedicated to alleviating homelessness in Guilford. The members of the program serve at 8 Partner Agencies: Mary's House, the Servant Center, Salvation Army, Step Up Greensboro, Out of the Garden Project, Peacehaven Farm, Interactive Resource Center, and Greensboro Urban Ministry. Members work directly with our homeless clients to provide food, shelter, clothing, emergency financial assistance, life skills coaching, and case management. Each month they implement community service projects to benefit the homeless and hungry. Photos and descriptions of our service can be found at www.facebook.com/AmeriCorps.Partnership.to.End.Homelessness. **Before applying, please make sure you meet our eligibility requirements, found at: http://www.theservantcenter.org/Americorps/AmeriCorpsMembers.aspx We accept applications from February 1 to September 1 for the service year which starts in early September. We fill the positions on a first-come / first-served basis. Early applicants have the best selection of roles. While we welcome out of state applicants, all member roles are in Greensboro and only those willing and able to travel to Greensboro for a series of interviews should apply. If you would like to apply, please complete the online AmeriCorps application. After we receive your application, you will be via email. All roles are located in Greensboro, NC with the exception of Peacehaven Farm, located in Whitsett, NC. Our team is a lively group, committed to serving others. Over half of our team returns every year! We are seeking dedicated and engaged individuals who aren’t afraid of going above and beyond in service to the Guilford County homeless community.
