The cornerstones of our programs at KAPS include: • A rigorous liberal arts curriculum including science, math, technology, language arts, fine arts, music, social studies and physical education taught with a maximum 1:14 teacher-to-student ratio; • Career-training courses during and after-school including unique subjects such as graphic arts, film, webmastering, video game design, women empowerment, agriculture and interpersonal communications; • Community participation and service to encourage individual responsibility and model citizenship; and • Intensive one-on-one counseling and peer-to-peer mentoring.

Member Duties : The Development Associate will work closely with the Development Team to help implement policies, procedures and data-tracking systems to establish more sustainable and consistent fundraising efforts at the school. Duties will include: grantwriting and grants research; soliciting and securing in-kind donations; implementing and maintaining ETapestry (a donor tracking system); corresponding with corporate and foundation funders; assisting with annual fundraisers; helping to launch and conduct a capital campaign for school improvements; and other development duties as assigned.
