HandsOn Greater Phoenix VISTA Leader
Since 1993, HandsOn Greater Phoenix has worked with nonprofits, low-income schools, neighborhood associations and government entities to assess and meet the volunteer needs of the Greater Phoenix area. The HandsOn VISTA program places VISTA members in the role of volunteer or program coordinator at multiple host sites, and in doing so, hopes to build the volunteer management capacity in the community in a cost-effective manner. Members enable our community service partners to build lasting infrastructure by creating the processes and tools needed to effectively access and utilize valuable volunteer resources. At the same time, opportunities are created for community members to engage in meaningful service to under-resourced communities. Additionally, the HandsOn VISTA program will include a Summer Associates program in 2017 to support our partners with an infusion of "hands-on volunteers" during an 8-week summer of service initiative. Please email to receive more information about this exciting role! NOTE: MUST HAVE COMPLETED AT LEAST ONE SUCCESSFUL TERM AS AN AMERICORPS MEMBER OR PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEER TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.
