Latino Farmer Market Access Coor. (McMinnville, OR)
 
 
 
Serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA member at Linfield College’s Linfield Center for the Northwest (LCN). The VISTA member will establish a Latino Farmer Program that develops trainings and creates market accessibility for members of the Latino Community in Yamhill County, Oregon. Position requires bi-lingual capability to develop relationships with community partners, communicate with members of the Latino community, and to work with Linfield College students in developing marketing, business and social media access for Latino farmers, as their skills are developed through program activities. Member Duties : Develop relationships with community partners. Collaborate with community partners to identify needs of community, programming, and align goals. Develop program curriculum with partners to identify and build the skills needed to farm in Yamhill County. Identify Linfield students to work on marketing, market access and business focus for program. Create volunteer recruitment program and framework to engage Linfield College students, faculty, and staff in service. Coordinate with Linfield College departments with existing volunteer programs. Determine the best option to engage the population on campus. Develop volunteer recruitment and retention strategies by designing policies and procedures, and program requirements outlined in a handbook. Create tracking documents to identify participants and track outcomes. Develop a training curriculum that addresses the needs of Latino farmers in Yamhill County including marketing, web design, social media, branding and business plan.
