826 Valencia Program Development (Corps 18 November Start)

Corps 18 VISTAs will develop programs to address not only the issue of absenteeism, but also to build a platform for programming that helps to address many of the other issues that keep students from school in low- to moderate-income communities. Corps 18 VISTA members will focus thoughtful and deliberate out-of-school time programming in four main areas: Cultural and Academic Literacy (CAL), Health & Wellness, STEM and P.L.A.Y. These efforts will ultimately have a positive impact on overall student success by using levels of engagement and student attendance as key indicators.
