Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations

**LEADER CANDIDATES MUST HAVE COMPLETED ONE YEAR OF VISTA SERVICE** The QENO AmeriCorps VISTA Leader will be a vital member of the QENO VISTA project. QENO's 10-member VISTA project focuses on increasing nonprofit capacity through volunteer management and community outreach. The QENO VISTA Leader will have an integral role in the success of the project and of QENO as a whole. QENO is housed in the University of North Carolina Wilmington and has a 9-county service area consisting of Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender, Robeson, and Sampson counties.

Member Duties : The QENO VISTA leader will increase QENO's capacity to manage the 10-member project thereby increasing volunteerism and outreach in QENO's region. Major tasks will include: revamping the recruitment, orientation, and retention of QENO VISTA members and their sites, giving public presentations to UNCW students and the community, creating a communication plan for QENO's VISTA project, creating a training program for VISTA members & site directors, mentoring QENO VISTA members, and more.
