The following posting is for the Public Education Specialist position with End Slavery Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. Program Overview: The AmeriCorps PATH Program will engage 10 AmeriCorps Members to serve September 2nd, 2014 through June 26th, 2015. The PATH Program is a regional program with Member service locations in Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo. Members will serve as outlets for creating sustainable systems for public education and awareness of human trafficking, as well as building anti-human trafficking coalition and service capacity in regions of Ohio that are currently underserved. Position Overview The Public Education Specialist will be hosted at End Slavery Cincinnati with The Salvation Army of Greater Cincinnati located at 114 East Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. The purpose of this position is to provide overall support for coalition capacity building and sustainability through the management and facilitation of human trafficking presentations and workshops for local communities. Service Schedule PATH Public Education Specialists are expected to serve 1,700 hours during their term of service starting September 2, 2014 and participate in program orientation. Of the 1,700 service hours, members may spend up to 340 hours in training and development. Members will be required to participate in orientation to the AmeriCorps PATH Program, host site orientation, AmeriCorps National Days of Service, along with Justice Talks and AmeriCorps citizenship training throughout the program period. A detailed list of events will be provided during member orientation in the first week of service. **NOTICE: Selected cadidates must submit to a BCII, FBI, and National Sex Offender background checks.

Member Duties : -Create an online "speaker request" system tha tcan be accessed from host site's website to facilitate community access and request for human trafficking speaking events - create speaker management system, using readily accessible tools such as GoogleDrive - create Speaker's Bureau volunteer support system, to ensure that speakers have up-to-date information - Assist in conducting human trafficking workshops as needed - Assist in conducting Train the Trainer workshops for Speakers Bureau members - Manage training and education requests - Provide volunteer and community engagement opportunities through AmeriCorps Days of Service - Attend and provide support to the Public Awareness Committee and Demand Reduction Committee - Support activities associated with National Human Trafficking Awareness Month in January 2015
