NYIC Fundraising VISTA (Korean Community Services)

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) aims to achieve a fairer and more just society that values the contributions of immigrants and extends opportunity to all. As part of its mission, the NYIC works to engage and support local and state agencies who belong to its Membership, in organizing around immigration issues. The NYIC will be placing AmeriCorps VISTAs in 7 of these agencies, in addition to its own office, to build organizational capacity – in the form of volunteer management, communications, fundraising and/or administrative systems – in support of immigrant-focused anti-poverty programming. AmeriCorps VISTAs placed in either the NYIC or one of its Member Agencies, will be supported by the NYIC with a 5-day training at the beginning of the year of service, monthly webinars, monthly check-ins with NYIC staff, and ongoing networking opportunities with other NYIC AmeriCorps VISTAs.
