Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies

AJFCA is the membership association for approximately 125 Jewish family service agencies across the United States and Canada, ranging in size from small departments of local Jewish federations to some of the largest human services agencies in North America. Our members provide vital services to clients of all ages, faiths and economic backgrounds and are united by the values of our Jewish tradition and work together toward our common goal of tikkun olam, repairing the world. During the one-year project the VISTA leader will work specifically in the area of Holocaust Survivor Services to assist agencies in building their capacity to meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable members of their communities. The VISTA Leader must have already completed 1 year as a VISTA member. The Leader will act as a mentor to first-year VISTAs and as a liaison between AJFCA and local nonprofit human service agencies and their VISTAs across the U.S. in planning, organizing, and implementing a one-year VISTA project specific to their community. The project year runs from August 26, 2014-August 30, 2015 and the position is based out of Baltimore, Maryland.
