Volunteer Organizer for Community Services

The Volunteer Organizer for Community Services seeks to build consistent and sustainable support from the community and within NAYA's organizational structure through development, implementation and evaluation of the Volunteer Program. Member objectives include: 1) Assess current NAYA Volunteer Program system, policies and procedures in comparison to overall agency program operational norms and standards. 2) Develop both a short-term (spanning the remainder of the service year) and long-term (spanning the same timeline as the agency’s 2015-2018 Strategic Plan) sustainability plan that includes goals, specific strategies, and a timeline for how the current VISTA-driven volunteer services will transition into a permanently staffed, formal Volunteer Program. 3) Implement the short-term formal launch plan for the Volunteer Program and support the goals, strategies, and preparatory items in accordance with the long-term sustainability plan.
