17-18 Workforce Snohomish - Youth Career Navigator

This AmeriCorps project, not only allows you to serve youth directly, but it also gives you an opportunity to become a part of one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. Snohomish County is conveniently located just north of Seattle and is filled with an abundance of historic and modern day arts and entertainment around every corner. Nestled between the Cascade Mountain Range and the Puget Sound, Snohomish County offers 360 degrees of beautiful views. As Youth Career Navigators you and your new AmeriCorps partner will have an opportunity to create fun and exciting group presentations for hundreds of youth across Snohomish County in order to enhance job skills such as: Career exploration, resume development, interviewing, soft skills, and more. Members will be trained as Youth Career Navigators under the WorkSource High School Connection Project. The focus will be to continue connecting the services available with WorkSource Centers, particularly the Youth Center, to local high school students. Members will provide on-site activities, presentations, and services within local high schools and youth programs, focusing on those with a high number of students receiving free and reduced school lunches. Please note that this position is contingent on funding. Workforce Snohomish is a FUN, INNOVATIVE, CAREER ENHANCEMENT focused organization, and we look forward to adding you to the team.
