UGA VISTA Network: Center for Leadership & Service

The AmeriCorps VISTA, through the Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) at the University of Georgia, will build capacity for a partnership with the Clarke County Mentor Program (CCMP) and other community engagement programs through the CLS. The VISTA will serve 40 hours per week, with at least 8 hours on site at the Clarke County Mentor Program office in downtown Athens. The CCMP places mentors with mentees in the Athens-Clarke County school district. Many of the mentors for CCMP are UGA students, so UGA has an integral role in the success of the program.
