Nebraska Economic Opportunity Corps (NEOC) is an AmeriCorps State program of Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, Inc. Members serve through the self sufficiency programs of partner non-profit agencies to improve the education and employment prospects of low-income at-risk youth, immigrants, and service members, veterans, and their families.

Member Duties : • Provide comprehensive, culturally-informed short-term coaching services for cases that address a broad range of issues, including medical, housing, employment, legal, or educational services at the International Center of the Heartland (ICH) • Model and complete self-sufficiency activities with clients • Support clients in identifying needs and obtaining services • Educate clients about available resources within the community • Empower clients to be self-sufficient in obtaining services and utilizing community resources • Follow-up and evaluate client progress toward established ICH service objectives • Provide services that achieve program goals and outcomes
