The Sanneh Foundation (Development) - St. Paul VISTA Program

The Sanneh Foundation delivers programs within our mission of empowerment, improvement, and community cohesion. TSF achieves this goal using sports, especially soccer, to engage and empower youth with mentoring, to improve young lives through educational attainment, and to unite communities by advancing diversity and inclusion. We work with roughly 9,000 individuals each year; most are children from communities of color, newly arrived immigrants, and other underserved and underresourced young people. The large number of individuals served reflects the breadth and scope of TSF’s programs: the Haitian Initiative (our international program serving youth in Port-au-Prince’s Cite Soleil), Sanneh Free Soccer Programs (free camps and clinics), Kick It Back (partnering with local schools and soccer clubs to collect soccer and athletic gear for redistribution to disadvantaged youth), Conway Community Recreation Center (a rec center on Saint Paul’s Eastside threatened with closure, now operated and managed by TSF), College Prep 101 (free college advising for student athletes and parents), and the Dreamline program (academic intervention and social support in all Saint Paul public high schools). **This VISTA position is sponsored by the Saint Paul VISTA Program. Hosted in Mayor Chris Coleman's Office, the Saint Paul VISTA Program is comprised of a city-wide cohort of individuals -- placed at community organizations and schools -- dedicated to shaping the educational landscape for youth and families in Saint Paul.**
