Public & School Partnership - Fremont High School

This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA position is hosted by the Public & School Partnership and is based at Fremont High School in Plain City, UT. VISTA members at Fremont HS work during school hours of operation to help counselors, school administration, teachers, and parents to develop programs focused on improving student attendance, grades, positive and healthy behavior, and targeted academic interventions that benefit students.

Member Duties : Candidates should possess strong self-management skills, excellent problem solving and communication skills, as well as a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to new circumstances. Some research and writing may be required and experience in these areas is a plus. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: tracking student attendance and grades, analyzing data to present to stakeholders, training staff and volunteers, requesting donations and writing grants, and developing educational materials to support academic success and positive behavior of students.
