Austin Early Education Center Specialist - Summer 2016

Two Summer Associates will conduct language comprehension assessments of children ages 2.5 -5 in six early education centers. These assessments will allow United Way staff to better assess the school readiness of approximately 100 children. The Associates will be trained to conduct the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT), a nationally-normed assessment of vocabulary that indicated verbal knowledge and ability. The Associates will receive the opportunity to be on-site at early education centers and benefit from regular interaction with young children. Associates will collect, enter, and analyze the data and provide centers with a final report. Spanish-speakers are preferred but not required.
