The State of Montana strives to accomplish the goals to provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities for the state’s low- and moderate-income residents by maximizing and effectively utilizing all available funding resources to conduct housing and community development activities that will serve the economically disadvantaged residents of the state. By addressing need and creating opportunity at the individual and neighborhood levels, the State of Montana aims to improve the quality of life for all residents of the state. The State of Montana develops goals, initiatives, and programs to help communities improve access to affordable housing.

Member Duties : Provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for the state’s low- and moderate-income residents. Collect, review, analyze, and summarize data for the state’s housing market analysis in collaboration with state of Montana staff. Facilitate quantitative data collection, research, analysis, evaluation, and conduct a qualitative summary of housing market needs. Develop a report and summarize best practices, action plan goals, initiatives, and priorities to improve access to affordable housing and reduce homelessness for all Montanans.
