Literacy Texas - Volunteer Training Initiative Associate

Literacy Texas helps coalitions and other agencies meet the evolving needs of their community’s post-secondary learners, and works to ensure such providers have access to the most current information regarding trainings, funding opportunities, professional development, online, and other resources. Further, through the Volunteer Training Initiative, we will conduct extensive state-wide outreach through our annual Conference and other regional events, to provide constructive forums for discussing the issues currently shaping adult education in Texas. The Literacy Texas Annual Conference delivers opportunities for training, networking, and general insight into how to most effectively address the needs of adult learners throughout the entire state. Additionally, Literacy Texas will help organize and deliver new locally based conferences to specifically address the needs of our regional partners, specifically in under-served areas where such volunteer training is limited or nonexistent.
