ShareCorps - PantryTrak - Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank
 
 
 
PantryTrak is a registration and reporting system designed to increase the capacity of Ohio food pantries, mobile pantries, produce markets and other emerging feeding sites to respond to client needs in diversified, effective, client-centric and dignified ways. Our PantryTrak Training Coordinators will help us to implement the PantryTrak system throughout The Ohio Association of Foodbank's network of agencies. Being a part of this statewide program means being a part of a movement, where the best practices you discover can grow into statewide implementation. Positions are available in the following locations: Akron, Cleveland, Columbus (Grove City), Cincinnati, Lorain, Springfield, Dayton, Logan, Fairfield, Lima, Toledo. The Ohio Association of Foodbanks is Ohio's largest charitable response to hunger, representing Ohio's 12 Feeding America foodbanks that distribute food and grocery items to over 3,300 member charities in all of Ohio's 88 counties. Our mission is to provide food and other resources to people in need and to pursue other areas of common interest for the benefit of people in need. Join us as an AmeriCorps VISTA and build skills in public speaking, adult training, event coordination, marketing, and more. Develop partnerships that enhance the PantryTrak network while networking with food pantries, mobile pantries, produce markets, and other nonprofits.

Member Duties : As a PantryTrak Training Coordinator, this VISTA member will promote the use of PantryTrak, a data collection system that increases the capacity of Ohio foodbanks to support their member agencies and respond to client needs in increasingly diversified, effective, client-centric and dignified ways. This will be accomplished by sharing the knowledge, tools, and ability to use PantryTrak's data and reporting system with agencies in The Ohio Association of Foodbank's statewide network. The PantryTrak VISTA will: Participate in a multi-day PantryTrak training program with PantryTrak developers; Implement a PantryTrak pilot project; Coordinate network-wide implementation by conducting outreach and training sessions to member agencies; Administer training to food pantry operators, providing on-going technical support to ensure effective use; Build the capacity of food banks to support PantryTrak long-term
