Grandmont Rosedale Development Corp - Special Assessment
 
 
 
GRDC is looking for 1 VISTA member to work as a Special Assessment District Program Coordinator. The VISTA would be working to establish a Special Assessment District (SAD) in the Grandmont Rosedale Community. Responsibilities would include: Working with the Detroit Police Department and other crime prevention professionals to determine which services to contract, utilizing current data and other "best practice" strategies; Informing community residents of the advantages and benefits of establishing the SAD and helping to ensure community residents have input in the process; Distributing appropriate information and updates among SAD stakeholders and the community about the initiative's progress; Researching cost analysis and projections for contracted services; Answering residents' general questions, objections and concerns to create a level of trust and openness during the creation of the SAD; Working with City offices to support the adoption of an ordinance to establish the SAD.
