Drexel University - PACC

Drexel University is currently developing a network of organizations, programs, and services that will provide a clear pathway for students to receive ongoing college access support from elementary school through high school. This project will focus on the expansion and increased impact of the Philip B. Lindy lnner-City Public School Program at Drexel University (“Lindy Scholars Program”) as part of Drexel's broader preK-16 strategy of academic achievement and college access for students in the West Philadelphia community. The goal of this particular program is to develop partnerships, referral systems, and advising processes that will contribute to the successful completion of 8th grade, aid in the transition to high school, and ultimately provide ongoing 9th-12th grade mentoring as part of a comprehensive college access strategy. The program will be administered both afterschool at Alain Locke Elementary and also on select Saturdays on Drexel University’s campus. Pennsylvania Campus Compact (PACC) is an organization which offers statewide support for member institutions who sustain an environment, culture, and infrastructure for student civic and community engagement and campus/community partnerships.
