The L2R Food Hub VISTA will develop materials to identify food entrepreneurs, train volunteers to recognize, recruit and direct potential clients to the CWKI, attend events to develop markets, develop surveys for growers and processors as well as for retail markets to determine products with potential in the value-added market.

Member Duties : work with the interrelated healthy, local food initiatives, including food entrepreneurs, farmers, growers and vendors by; surveying needs of regional community for value-added products, assisting in determining availability of inputs and developing ways to identify, recruit and train community members to grow and produce these desired products. The Vista Member will also plan classes for outreach in the community on food business development. Other duties will include developing volunteer training, planning community events, catalyzing resources and funds, promoting collaboration and the inclusive aspects of the Lake to River Food Hub and the importance of buying local to enhance the local economy and aiding in acquiring funding for projects.
