AmeriCorps VISTA members are needed in Sebastian, Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville, Lakeland, and Palm Beach. Through Children's Home Society of Florida's AmeriCorps VISTA program you will help ease the burden of poverty for at-risk children and families, and provide opportunities for vulnerable youth to improve their educational and employment outcomes. *PLEASE NOTE: Do not wait to submit your application. Member Duties : AmeriCorps VISTA members are needed in Sebastian, Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville, Lakeland, and Palm Beach. Children's Home Society of Florida's AmeriCorps VISTA members help ease the burden of poverty for at-risk children and families, and provide opportunities for vulnerable youth to improve their educational and employment outcomes by: performing community outreach activities, cultivating new community partnerships, recruiting and managing skilled volunteers, establishing event and campaign committees, organizing events and campaigns, creating community resource manuals, and developing project sustainability strategies.
