24-25 Asian Counseling & Referral Services Citizenship Aide

This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Asian Counseling and Referral Service is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization. We offer a broad array of human services in King County. Our Citizenship program provides application and fee waiver support to eligible immigrants and refugees to become U.S. Citizens. We offer bilingual citizenship classes to help people prepare for their citizenship exam. We support clients in group and individual settings. We also partner with other organizations to help people improve their English before submitting their application. These services are free or available at low cost. Naturalizing helps our community members find work, reunite with family, access services, and participate in democracy. The member will play a key role in helping our team to sustain and improve our programs. They will lead classes as well as support a caseload of clients individually. Proficiency in English and Vietnamese, Chinese, or Spanish is valued. We expect to interview in April. Monthly stipend amount: $2,995
