SparkPoint Plaza Adelante in San Francisco partners four community based nonprofit agencies located in the heart of the Mission District in San Francisco California: Mission Economic Development Agency, Causa Justa, Good Samaritan Family Resource Center, & Justice & Diversity Center. SparkPoint Plaza Adelante’s Financial Self Sufficiency model helps clients: get out of crisis, gain financial stability, and receive integrated services while measurably increasing their income, reducing their debt, increasing their savings, and improving their credit. With a continuum of direct service programs including Homeownership, Small Business Development, Taxes, Workforce Development, Computer training, ESL, Benefits Screening, Citizenship Classes, Tenant Counseling, Eviction Prevention, Debt Collection legal consultation, Job Counseling, and Financial Capability, clients from diverse cultural backgrounds receive tailored workshops and ongoing 1-on-1 coaching designed to help them realize their financial goals and measurably improve their financial lives.

Member Duties : The VISTA will be supporting SparkPoint Plaza Adelante and MEDA programs management with client engagement and retention efforts by researching and implementing effective and sustainable strategies to improve financial capability outcomes for all clients served. The VISTA will be coordinating all Sparkpoint partnerships and lead monthly Steering Committees amongst partners in addition to Sparkpoint Plaza Adelante data analysis. Finally, the VISTA will develop and oversee the integration of Financial Capability Services, including youth technology cohorts within Workforce Development programs, be actively involved in both the Workforce Development and Financial Capability teams and provide support as needed.
