AmeriCorps Graduation Pathways (Volunteer)
 
 
 
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. If that's you, and you have between 12 to 15 hours a week to dedicate to the program for the duration of the 2014/15 school year, we are looking for YOU! AmeriCorps volunteers will serve at an elementary, middle, or high school within the county. Each volunteer will have a roster of up to 8 students (as provided by school administration) that they will work with one-on-one for the rest of the school year. AmeriCorps volunteers will mentor students with the goal of improving the students' attachment to school and will also receive a modest bi-weekly cost of living stipend.

Member Duties : Volunteers mentor each student for at least one hour per week. Volunteers will focus on goal setting, character development, career exploration, problem solving and positive decision making.
