24-25 WS Cowlitz/Wahkiakum Technology Navigator
 
 
 
This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. WorkSource provides an array of services to job seekers and employers. Studies show that people who use WorkSource services tend to find work faster and earn more money than those who don't. At the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum branch many of our clients need help accessing and using technology. This is due to rapid changes in local industry and occupational transition. The member will support our work by providing educational classes. They will also identify client needs and provide individual coaching for job readiness. We expect to begin interviewing in April on a rolling basis. Monthly stipend amount: $1,780.

Member Duties : The Technology Navigator increases WorkSource Cowlitz-Wahkiakum’s capacity to help our clients strengthen their job readiness skills and complete a successful job search. They will deliver orientations focused on technical and digital literary skills; provide one on one follow up after orientation to help clients find the resources and tools for their specific needs; support individuals during self-directed activities and in job skills classes.
