Lending Team Assistant

Join New Jersey’s fastest growing microlender helping entrepreneurs grow small businesses! The Intersect Fund equips the least fortunate with the skills and capital to develop successful businesses, generate income and build assets. Our comprehensive approach incorporates business training and technical assistance and microloan financing to provide tools to aspiring low income entrepreneurs in New Jersey to assist in starting businesses that will assist them in sustaining their households. We have served more than 1,500 individuals and made more than 450 small business loans totaling $1,500,000 in our five-year history. Our services target low-income entrepreneurs of Hispanic and African descent. While start up and early stage entrepreneurs have been historically precluded from sufficient access to capital, the unmet demand for capital among minority and low income entrepreneurs is significant and increasing. Our clients are primarily sole-proprietors who own bodegas, beauty salons, landscaping companies, in-home daycare centers, etc. and have few options for the loans they need to start and grow their businesses. The Fund is seeking individuals to work on capacity building initiatives to support the statewide expansion of our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested not only in a career in the non-profit sector but an opportunity to assist in the eradication of poverty in America.
