PathWays PA/St. Vincent de Paul

For over twenty-one years, St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) has provided direct aid and support to those in need; working with a number of other organizations and businesses to solve an individual or family crisis situation. A VISTA will work with St. Vincent de Paul to market their new programs to the local community. These programs, such as expanded Furniture Pick-Up, Estate/ Hoarding Clean Up, and Foreclosure Service, will benefit the area while providing job opportunities and skills to unemployed workers in the region. Marketing will include the development and distribution of compelling print and online materials regarding the St. Vincent de Paul programs. The VISTA member will also work to create excitement and encourage support of new initiative that will engage volunteers and promote the program. The VISTA member will also look for new partners and opportunities for expanding the program. Finally the VISTA will work to develop and maintain data around new contacts, customer satisfaction, and media penetration.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will primarily target marketing to a variety of groups and organizations to promote the new services. This marketing will explain the project through public service announcements and news releases as well as brochures, flyers, church bulletin inserts, and social media. The VISTA will help distribute the materials at community participation events, the St. Vincent de Paul Web site, and through Guerrilla Marketing techniques, and with the assistance of a marketing advisory group develop a marketing plan for further phases of the project. In addition to the marketing, the VISTA member will create and maintain databases including information on potential donors/volunteers, client satisfaction, and media outreach.
