NOLA Wise/Water Wise Outreach Coordinator
 
 
 
Global Green’s NOLA Wise program provides a pathway out of poverty for local contractors and helps to lower the cost of energy efficiency upgrades for all homeowners. Not only does the program provide nationally recognized green building training for local contractors, but also direct access to jobs through the home energy retrofits in the program. The goal of NOLA Wise is market transformation by increasing both the supply and the demand of weatherization services in the City of New Orleans, thereby creating a sustainable green retrofit industry as well as increasing the financial sustainability of the homeowners who participate in the program. NOLA Wise also provides water efficiency services and resources, including indoor and outdoor water management and reduction best practices.

Member Duties : PARTNERSHIPS: Develop relationships with neighborhood associations and non-profit agencies, Attend neighborhood association meetings, Research organizations and agencies that provide complimentary services OUTREACH STRATEGIES: Pursue avenues to engage/educate community OUTREACH EVENTS: Seek out and schedule events such as markets, festivals, community events, etc., WORKSHOPS AND PANELS: Research and schedule workshops and panels for the general public, Coordinate with VISTAs on workshop announcements and advertising VENDOR LIST: Research and maintain vendor list GLOBAL GREEN HOUSE: Give tours, Schedule docents and other staff to give tours, Draft policies and procedures for house, Train new docents OTHER DUTIES: Accompany VISTAs on at-home consults, Edit and add to the fact sheets for resource center and online, Provide technical assistance to homeowners
